ICE!® featuring A Charlie Brown Christmas

Ryan and I decided to take a weekend trip to Nashville to enjoy the Gaylord Opryland Country Christmas. This year’s holiday attraction was ICE!® featuring A Charlie Brown Christmas. If you’ve been following my blog, you know that we love Snoopy and the Peanuts gang.

ICE! is an indoor attraction featuring ice sculptures at chilling temperatures. Over two million pounds of ice was used to depict the story of Charlie Brown. This walk-through attraction even features a slide! Before entering the attraction, you have the opportunity to suit up for the chilling nine degrees. We spent roughly thirty minutes inside snapping pictures of the beautiful sculptures. The detail is incredible.

Ryan and I really enjoyed this holiday activity, and we highly recommend it. I wouldn’t bring small children though. Most of the younger children we saw were fussing and complaining about the cold. Upon exiting the attraction, you can purchase photos, hot chocolate, and souvenirs. Be sure to arrive early or buy a fast pass.

There were also free holiday activities, including ice-skating shows and Christmas lights. We also enjoyed breakfast with Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and Lucy. There are a ton of activities at the Gaylord. We even got into Madame Tussauds across the street at Opry Mills. They were running an awesome Black Friday special (50% off). Needless to say, we really enjoyed our short trip to Nashville. It was good to get away for a bit.

  1. […] I’m not sure what to expect on the day after Thanksgiving in Orlando. It’s probably going to be insane or at the very least that will be my expectation. We’ll begin the day at the Gaylord Palms for ICE! featuring The Polar Express. Ryan and I are obsessed with this classic, and we were super excited for the 2019 theme announcement in Orlando (each property has a different theme). This chilling experience includes hand-carved sculptures and displays made from more than 2 million pounds of ice. Check out our posts from 2018 and 2017. […]
