Remember that Ruggable?

I guess it has been at least a couple of months now since I ordered my first Ruggable and shared it with you all. If you missed it, it’s a two piece rug system that can be cleaned in the washing machine. Sounded like a perfect match for this pet owner. My initial reaction was great, but did it hold up to my cats?

You betcha it did! We’ve had to wash this thing nearly a dozen times already. Each time the cats dirty it up, I spray it with Shout & throw in it in the wash. I wash it on our Maytag’s quick setting in cold water. I then hang it to dry or throw it in the dryer (setting: air dry). I don’t think heat would do anything to it, but I generally try to expose our items to less heat for longevity purposes.

Pros:

  • Easy to clean
  • The top layer can be changed out to create an entirely new look
  • The bottom layer keeps everything in place
  • The rug doesn’t ‘magically’ move around
  • Affordable

Cons

  • There’s a slight sound when you walk across it
  • The top layer is difficult to vacuum with our Dyson

So that’s my review of our Ruggable. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask in the comments below. Before I go, I wanted to provide a quick update on the deck.

The deck is nearly complete. They are actually working on it right now and will hopefully finish it today. Part of the deal included wrapping the posts, which is optional. So they are working on that today along with installing our gate. I’ll go into more detail when I reveal it.
