It might be too early, but I decided to combine my fall and Halloween decorating this year. We’ve got a really busy schedule this season, and I don’t see any harm in decorating early. Plus, there’s just something about coming home to a decorated porch. Here’s a quick look at what I’ve done thus far. I’m still working on the steps…
The lantern really shines at night. I bought a set of purple fairy lights from Michaels for less than $5. The timer on these lights is super helpful and works really well. There are several (like 6-8) light settings, which is pretty cool too. I really think these lights are a steal. The lantern and pumpkin create a pretty glow in the evening hours.
The sign is from Hobby Lobby, and it’s actually reversible (Fall/Halloween). I wanted to add some height. As far as the flowers and pumpkins go, we picked those up locally. The flowers will look really pretty once they bloom.
I’m really happy with how the crate turned out this year. I’ve had this crate at least seven or eight years, and I decided to stain it this year. I used a can of stain, and it took me like ten minutes to refinish it. Super easy and cost my nothing! The perfect project as far as I’m concerned.
I made this wreath nearly five years ago, and I just love it. It’s the perfect Halloween addition, and it’s visible from the road. It probably cost me $30 or less to make. If you can’t find a wreath in-store, I encourage you to make your own. There are a ton of helpful videos out there if you’re a newbie to crafts. I think you can actually have a custom wreath made at Michaels too.
So that’s where I’m at right now with decorating. I hope to finish the rest up next weekend. Be sure to check back next week for new Disney posts. Ryan and I are headed to Orlando for Food & Wine at Epcot and Mickey’s Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom. It’s going to be spooktacular!
