Christmas is Coming!

Believe it or not, there are less than 45 days til Christmas. If you’ve been following along, you know that we love Christmas and the holiday season starts November 1st at our house. I didn’t originally plan to be so quiet these past few weeks, but we’ve been in Christmas mode. I thought I’d take a minute to share our 2019 Christmas tree themes with all of you.

We have several trees that make an annual appearance: Polar Express, Grinch, Dr. Seuss, Harry Potter, and the Peanuts Gang. Since we only have so much space, we have several themes in rotation. (I’ll have to add links after I finish updating some pages) I’m super excited to share our newest addition.

We decided to add a Disney themed tree, which is actually up in the living room. I was originally going to add a Toy Story tree, but I decided to combine Toy Story with our other Disney ornaments until I collect enough to separate the two. This tree highlights our favorite movies, characters, and Disney experiences. It has definitely got us excited about Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party later this month. As you’ll see in the weeks to come, this tree captures the essence of Christmas at Disney. Lots of peppermints, ears, and characters!

Due to space and the addition of a new flocked tree, I decided to combine all of my winter inspired ornaments with our Polar Express themed tree. I’m really pleased with how it turned out. I can’t wait to share photos with you soon. I’m not sure if I’ll keep the two themes combined, but we’ll see. The mix of colors looks really nice on the flocked tree.

Another change this year is that I upgraded the Grinch tree. It was originally a smaller tree, but I’ve added a bunch of new ornaments. This tree is so much fun to decorate, and I actually decorate the entire spare room in Grinch decor. That space feels like we’re celebrating Christmas in Whoville.

I think that about covers the themes and changes for 2019. As I said above, be sure to check back over the next several weeks for a look at everything. We’ve got one tree left to decorate this week and one village to put up. It’s Christmas time!
