It has been awhile since I’ve posted! Between the holidays and flu, I just didn’t have the time (or energy) to put together a new post. I didn’t even finish showing you all our Christmas trees. That most certainly was not the way I had planned it.
It’s a new year, and I’ve got plenty of projects planned for 2020. There are four projects that Ryan and I will be focusing on. One of which is our master bathroom. Our bathroom needs a refresh and a commitment to finishing it.
Over the years we’ve made changes to the space to better prepare us for the renovation. I removed the beadboard and popcorn ceiling years ago. The area that needs the most attention is the vanity. I won’t bore you with the specifics, but it’s going to be a mess. The previous homeowners thought glue was the best way to adhere practically everything.
We discussed this project last year, and you can visit that post here. Here’s a look at the direction we’re headed in.
It will be a very clean and relaxing space. To save money, we will keep our existing floor tile and shower/tub combo. The rest goes, excluding the walls…we’ve got to keep those. We haven’t decided on the exact vanity, but we know it will be white. I’m thinking about purchasing an unfinished vanity and painting it. I’ll explain that thought process at a later date and would love to hear your thoughts. Anyway, the above board gives you a pretty good idea of the design.
I want the bathroom to coordinate with our bedroom, which is partially completed. Here’s a look at the design for it.
It would be great if we could finish our room too. It may happen, but it’s not one of the priority four projects. What do you think of the design? I’d love to hear your thoughts below.
We are finally going to finish some spaces this year after years of tinkering, and I can’t wait to be closer to the finish line. Do you have any projects planned this year?
