“Autumn shows us how beautiful it is to let things go.” -Unknown
Can you feel it? Autumn is in the air. I just love the changing of seasons, and autumn is my absolute favorite. It sparks something deep inside my soul. I think it’s about letting things go and finding pure joy. I find the purest of joy sipping cider with my husband, hunting for the perfect pumpkin, and walking along fallen leaves in the park. It’s almost that time of year for a warm and gooey s’more by the fire too. Autumn is simply perfect.
In preparation for the season, we’ve added a touch of fall around the house. We keep the inside pretty simple, but I love to add a bit more magic to the exterior. Nothing says ‘Welcome Fall’ like mums, hay bales, pumpkins, and freshly pruned landscaping. We spent most of our Sunday cleaning our flowerbeds and adding mulch. We’ll finish getting everything manicured next weekend before we visit the pumpkin patch.
I found a couple of beautiful ideas for inspiration on Pinterest.
Here’s a look at what we did in the yard and a glimpse inside.
Last but not least, here’s our Harry Potter themed tree. I’ve always been a huge fan, and I was so excited to get this tree started last year. Little by little, I add more magic to this tree. Several of the ornaments are from Hallmark, including my new Gringotts ornament pictured below. I actually made the framed wizard ornaments and found the picks at Hobby Lobby.
Stay tuned. We’ll have more fall coming your way in a couple of weeks.
